Tuition

Tuition for DECATS 2017 is $600.00 and must be paid in full after being accepted and by April 30. Those accepted into the program may access an itemized invoice and balance status via their myStatus accounts.

WITHDRAWAL / REFUND POLICY

Notify us if you elect to withdraw at any time during your application or after acceptance.

  • No deposit or payment is due with your application. Payment is due upon admission into the program.
  • Applicants are notified of admission and tuition assistance awards (if applicable) in February. Admitted applicants must pay full tuition and fees by April 30; admits who receive tuition assistance are responsible for the balance remaining after the award by April 30.
  • Applicants who have not been formally admitted, including those on a waiting list (should one exist), may withdraw at any time and incur no financial penalty.
  • Admitted Scholars who do not settle full tuition and fees by April 30 will forfeit their space beginning May 1.
  • Admitted Scholars who withdraw through May 15 may be refunded in full (e.g. tuition, extended day, merchandise) less $100. Admits receiving tuition assistance who withdraw through May 15 may be refunded the total amount paid less $100. If the amount paid by the applicant was less than or equal to $100, no amount will be refunded.
  • Admitted Scholars who withdraw May 16 and later - including withdrawals in June / during the program - will not receive any refund.
  • Extended day and merchandise fees are not refundable. Supervision is hired and merchandise ordered based on data indicated on your registration form.

Tuition Assistance

The cost of this innovative program is well over $1000. DeBusk Foundation provides a scholarship to each participating Scholar for half of that cost.

Tuition assistance is available for families that qualify. Please download the Tuition Assistance Application form in myStatus and submit it in order to be considered for tuition assistance. Completed tuition assistance applications are due by the application deadline (see calendar).

Tuition assistance requests are reviewed by the Executive Director. Status of Tuition assistance requests is communicated via myStatus.

Applications for tuition assistance must be made each year. There is no automatic renewal of tuition assistance.

Extended Day

Extended day begins at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. No extended care is provided on the last day of DECATS, as the program concludes before noon that day.

Families sign up for extended day during registration, which takes place online. A $150 fee is collected in addition to tuition. This cost covers any combination of morning and / or afternoon care for the entire three weeks. There is no "morning only" or "afternoon only" fee structure. The cost is a flat fee and is not pro-rated on the number of days of care utilized. Scholars who do not register for extended day and that utilize extended day services will be charged the fee.
